Kentucky is a beautiful state with a tremendous variety of photographic opportunities. For a photographer, chasing the Light becomes the driving force behind what we do. Being in the right place at the right time often involves a measure of luck, and too often we feel we must travel to those exotic locations to fill our need to create that perfect photo at the expense of overlooking what's happening in our own backyard.

"The Alvaton Collection"

is a series of images taken within a few miles of my home. I was amazed when I started the project at the variety and quality of light that existed, in some cases, a short walk from my backdoor. I've not completed the project just yet and as it continues to unfold I will add more to this collection. Please enjoy from what I've already discovered...
