The Buffalo River in Northwest Arkansas is the crown jewel of the Ozarks. On a five day float camping float trip in 2006 we stopped at this location known as Skull Bluff. Some wild poppies were blooming along the high bank which made for a great foreground. it was mid-afternoon with only a gentle breeze to break the heat of the day. I didn't realize it at the time, but the angle of the sun was perfect to capture this most scenic spot on one of America's great rivers. Order Print
