About The Image
I met an old friend one cold morning at Old Beggs Lake...a favorite fishing place about 30 miles south of Tulsa, Oklahoma. I spent a good part of the morning taking various shots of the sunrise and followed my friend as he paddled his canoe back to the put in. As he drifted below where I was standing, I almost missed this shot. The image of the canoe surrounded by the dark reflections presented a peaceful scene. It seems to speak volumes of what being alone with nature really means. scene
