About The Image
Many of the country roads around Alvaton display their own light show various times of the day and reflect the nature of the different seasons. I drive down this road from time to time and on this one late afternoon the trees created a tunnel like canopy over the road and this brilliant beam of sunlight seemed to burn its way thru the canopy to reach the ground. The few random openings in the trees allowed some isolated beams of light to infiltrate thru and spotlight the road and illuminate some of the shadows. I dodged several cars as I set up the tripod and framed this striking image from the rustic backroads of Kentucky.

Cameras and lenses are simply tools to place our unique vision on film.  Concentrate on equipment and you'll take technically good photographs. Concentrate on seeing the light's magic colors and your images will stir the soul."…Jack Dykinga
