I pass by this patch of woods almost everyday. Most of the time it appears rather ordinary, but when winter sets in and most of the leaves are scattered across the ground, the dark woods open and become move visible. For several days I kept noticing these wonderful buff colored leaves mingled amongst the deepest part of the woods. One cloudy day I decided to stop and investigate. Walking 50 yards or so into the woods I discovered this hidden brook and these wonderfully adorned winter trees. The light was soft and warm and the prevailing atmosphere presented a very nice photo opportunity. This is one of my favorite images...and one of the first to be selected for the Alvaton Collection.
There is a Place where Nature resides…a place unspoiled…a place where the voice of nature is soft. To comprehend its meaning, one must walk amongst its beauty …be still…then listen and gaze from the Heart…KRB
