The Scenic Collection

About The Image
I was camping and trout fishing on the Lower Illinois river below Oklahoma's Tenkiller Lake one spring. One evening around sundown I noticed the sky behind me turning a deep orange. I walked to the top of the rise behind the campsite and discovered this scene. Later, I discovered the red skies were created by ash in the atmosphere that had drifted over North Amercia from a recently erupting volcano on the otherside of the world.
